Getting Started with FBA

To be considered for Admission, FBA requires the following:

  • The parent is in support of First Baptist Academy’s mission and philosophy as a Christian school;
  • Profession of Faith from at least one family member;
  • Letter of support from a church Pastor if not a member of FBCO;
  • Proficiency at the 50th percentile or higher in Reading and Math on standardized testing be on or above grade level;
  • Students with an IEP, 504, or other accommodation plan must meet the admission requirements, and understand admission may not be offered if it is determined that First Baptist Academy is unable to meet the academic, emotional, medical, or behavioral needs of the student;
  • The student should have a clean discipline history with no suspensions, expulsions, or history of behavioral issues;
  • The student should read, write, and speak fluent English;
  • For students entering Kindergarten, the student must be 5 years old by September 1 of the school year.

Application Dates

Early Registration

December 1st, 2025 | Applications for admission open for First Baptist Opelika members, current Bright Beginnings families, and current First Baptist Academy Students. 

Regular Registration

January 5th, 2026 | Applications for admission open to the public.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into FBA. 

Decision Dates

January 12th, 2026 | Early registration decisions of acceptance will be emailed no later than 5:00 p.m. CT. 

February 2rd, 2026 | Regular registration decisions of acceptance will be emailed no later than 5:00 p.m. CT. 

Final decisions for the 2026-2027 school year will be made on a rolling basis until capacity is reached.
