Welcome to First Baptist Academy…home of the Lions.
We've had a great start to the 2025 school year! Mrs. Overstreet's Kindergarten, Ms. Varnon's Kindergarten, and Mrs. Jackson's First Grade have had so much fun learning routines and expectations. We still have 5 spots available in our Kindergarten as of August 8th. Our First Grade is at capacity! If you are interested in a tour or have questions, please reach out to us. It is our goal to provide a quality, Christ-centered education. We offer phonics instruction, cursive writing, traditional math, Bible, and enrichment classes to name a few. Our school employs certified teachers with early childhood education experience. Mrs. Wendy Overstreet and Mrs. Vicki Gould bring an amazing amount of Elementary Education experience to our Academy. From play-based, hands-on instruction to direct phonics instruction, Mrs. Overstreet is such an asset. Mrs. Gould brings her knowledge of elementary Physical Education, Enrichment, American Sign Language, and scripture memorization. Mrs. Michele Jackson brings years of elementary experience including a private Christian academy in Texas. Ms. Anna Varnon, is a new AU graduate with experiences as a FBCO College Mishcom leader and counselor at Camp ASCCA for Special Needs. We are currently in the process of achieving accreditation through the ACEA (Alabama Christian Education Association). https://www.alabamachristianed.com
