Welcome to First Baptist Academy…home of the Lions.
What a milestone! On Tuesday, May 20th we held the graduation of the inaugural kindergarten class of First Baptist Academy. It has been an incredible year. We are so thankful to everyone that helped us make this possible. Over the summer, we are moving administrative offices and preparing rooms for our new teachers. Currently, the plans for the Fall include two Kindergarten classes and one First Grade class. We still have a few spots left in all classes. If you are interested in a tour or have questions, please reach out to us. It is our goal to provide a quality, Christ-centered education. We offer phonics instruction, cursive writing, traditional math, Bible, and enrichment classes to name a few. FBA uses a Biblically based curriculum through Abeka. https://www.abeka.com/
Our school employs certified teachers with early childhood education experience. Mrs. Wendy Overstreet and Mrs. Vicki Gould bring an amazing amount of Elementary Education experience to our Academy. From play-based, hands-on instruction to direct phonics instruction, Mrs. Overstreet is such an asset. Mrs. Gould brings her knowledge of elementary Physical Education, Enrichment, American Sign Language, and scripture memorization. We are currently in the process of achieving accreditation through the ACEA (Alabama Christian Education Association). https://www.alabamachristianed.com
